Many cruelty-free beauty brands now offer a wide range of sulfate-free shampoos that are both effective at cleansing hair and gentle on the environment.

Sulfate-free shampoos utilize milder surfactants or natural ingredients like coconut oil derivatives or sugar-based cleansers instead of harsh sulfates. These alternatives are biodegradable and pose minimal risk to aquatic life when washed down drains.
