Cruelty-Free Lash Glue for Beginners: Achieve Stunning Lashes Ethically

Cruelty-Free Lash Glue for Beginners: A Step-by-Step Guide

If you’re new to the world of false lashes, finding the perfect lash glue can be overwhelming. Not only do you want a product that sticks well and keeps your lashes in place all day, but as a cruelty-free beauty enthusiast, you also need something that aligns with your values.

Luckily, there are plenty of cruelty-free lash glue options available that provide excellent hold without compromising on ethics. In this step-by-step guide, we’ll walk you through the process of applying false lashes using cruelty-free lash glue.

1. Choose the Right Lash Glue:
When selecting a cruelty-free lash glue, look for products that are labeled vegan or explicitly state they have not been tested on animals. Some popular brands include Ardell, DUO Brush-On Striplash Adhesive, and House of Lashes.

2. Prep Your Natural Lashes:
Before applying false lashes, it’s essential to prep your natural lashes properly. Start by curling them with an eyelash curler to create a base shape that complements the falsies. Next, apply one coat of mascara to give your natural lashes some length and volume.

3. Measure and Trim False Lashes:
Measure the length of the false lash against your eye and trim any excess from the outer corner if necessary. It’s always better to start with longer falsies as you can always trim more later.

4. Apply Lash Glue:
Squeeze a small amount of cruelty-free lash glue onto a clean surface or use directly from its applicator if it comes with one (e.g., DUO Brush-On Striplash Adhesive). Wait for about 30 seconds until the adhesive becomes tacky before moving on to the next step.

5. Apply False Lashes:
Using tweezers or your fingers (whatever feels comfortable), gently pick up one end of the false lash and apply a thin layer of glue along the lash band. Make sure to focus on the outer corners as they tend to lift more easily. Allow the glue to become tacky for a few seconds before carefully placing the lash strip onto your natural lashes, starting from the outer corner.

6. Secure and Blend:
Once in place, use gentle pressure with your fingertips or tweezers to secure the false lashes firmly against your natural ones. Pay extra attention to ensure both ends adhere well. To blend them seamlessly, lightly press down with an eyelash curler.

7. Finishing Touches:
After applying false lashes, you can apply another coat of mascara to blend your natural and faux lashes together even further. This will create a seamless look while adding additional volume.

Removing cruelty-free false lashes is just as important as applying them correctly. Use an oil-based makeup remover or micellar water on a cotton pad to gently dissolve the adhesive before carefully peeling off the falsies from one corner of your eye towards the other.

With these steps and cruelty-free products at hand, you’ll be able to achieve beautiful fluttery lashes without compromising your values!
