In addition to being more eco-friendly than traditional plastics or materials with chemicals added to them, these items can often be found at affordable prices too.

Natural Fibers

Another material used in making compostable products is natural fibers such as hemp, bamboo, or cotton. These materials make great alternatives to synthetic fibers because they don’t release harmful chemicals when broken down.

Hemp fiber is particularly useful because it’s strong enough to be used in textiles yet breaks down easily in a composting environment. Bamboo is another popular choice because of its rapid growth rate which makes it one of the most sustainable crops available on earth today.

Cotton can also be used for making biodegradable products although it requires more processing than either hemp or bamboo does since it needs to be separated from its seeds before being turned into fabric or other goods. Nonetheless, using organic cotton rather than conventional cotton can help reduce pesticide use while still providing a durable and comfortable material for clothing items like t-shirts or socks.
